Virginia Golf Club were honoured and delighted to welcome Crover House Golf Club on Saturday last, 9th October for the playing of the Paddy McInerney Cup. After a break in 2020, due to Covid restrictions, Virginia wanted to wrestle the cup back from Crover who had taken the honours in 2019. The teams were composed of a number of those who had the honour and privilege of knowing Paddy and socialising with him during his membership of both clubs. Paddy sadly departed this life 5 years ago but leaves behind many treasured memories and friendships.

The teams played out a very sociable day with Virginia coming out on top in the end. Nuala McInerney, with her daughter Áine and son Breen joined the group for light refreshments and a trophy presentation at the clubhouse.
