The Golfing season is now fully up and running in Virginia with the men’s match-plays under way and the Majors looming on the horizon. Once again some great shooting was evident this past weekend with Martin Sheridan posting an excellent 44 points in the Singles Stableford competition to edge out Stephen Kockett by a single point. Stephen Smith was the winner of the 2s on 18th earning himself a nice multi-rollover jackpot.

Commiserations to our Mixed Foursomes team who put up a great battle with Mannan Castle on Saturday last. Mannan proved too strong on the day winning 4-1 but 2 of the 4 matches going to 18th and the final 2 to the 19th. The unusual format of the competition meant that 3 pairs played in Virginia while 2 played away, simultaneously, in Mannan. The hospitality and comradery received in Mannan was very much appreciated.
